The Position:
We are looking to fill a 2nd shift press helper position.
Responsibilities include:
- Mounts plates.
- Pulls and layout tooling for production orders.
- Supports the operator with set-up and tear-down.
- Operates the presses through lunch and break periods when necessary.
- Monitors the ink levels, paper levels, and fount solution.
- Fills ink and dampening solution fountains and adjusts controls to regulate flow of ink and dampening solution to plate cylinder.
- At shift change, check and refill as needed the fount solution, paper, plates, and inks. Make certain that area is clean, empty trash, and empty trace.
- Must work well with others in a team environment.
- Recording of time and production for job costing.
- Ability to meet daily production standards.
- Performs all required preventative maintenance in accordance to production schedule.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area and press.
- Observe company work rules and safety regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Shift hours are:
- 2:00pm-10:00pm (2nd shift)
