Maintenance Technician
Location: Onsite - Napa, California
Hourly Rate: $20-25 per hour (Based on Experience)
Employment Type: Full-time 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, Monday-Friday (Including occasional weekends)

General Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing duties to repair and maintain machinery, building and facilities which require a broad knowledge of maintenance skills including mechanical repair, electrical, pneumatics, minor plumbing, and minor hydraulics.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment in accordance with schedule.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, plumbing, and electrical issues.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Coordinates to develop and establish standard practices in the area of techniques, material used, capacity planning, maintenance scheduling, safety, and performance measures.
- Completion of all certifications of compliance & upkeep of all maintenance documentation.
- Develop a preventative maintenance schedule for each key piece of machinery.
- Control key materials & spare parts.
- Ensure compliance with all safety aspects of building & machinery.
- Make repairs or adjustments when needed.
- Regularly inspect and replace parts when necessary.
- Perform essential maintenance on and secures the building, facilities, and the grounds.
- Assist in determining the nature and scope of forthcoming projects and the requirements for completion.
- Order maintenance supplies following defined purchasing process meeting budget expectations.
- Perform routine housekeeping activities in the department and ensure adherence to established safety procedures and requirements.
- Must work well with others in a team environment.
- Maintains a clean and organized parts warehouse and work area.
- Observe company work rules and safety regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience in industrial maintenance, automated production such as printing or packaging lines is preferred.
- Previous experience with printing machinery (Gallus, ABG Digicon Prati) is advantageous.
- Combination of education and experience determined by hiring manager.
Specific Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications:
- Experience in the maintenance of printing industry standard machinery is key to the role:
- Experience of maintaining the following would be advantageous:
- Gallus, ABG Digicon, Prati Inspection
- Experience of maintaining the following would be advantageous:
- Knowledge in basic math (Imperial and metric systems)
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to understand how an electrical diagram and layout is made.
- Dexterity of hands, stand and walk prolonged periods of time (full shift), crawl under machinery.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and responsibly.
- Basic computer skills (Web and Excel)
- Basic knowledge of power distribution and auxiliary control circuits.
- Requires the ability to operate various tools and equipment to include various hand and power tools and various measuring equipment.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Friendly and respectful with internal and external clients.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform various physical tasks. It is essential that candidates are capable of meeting the following physical requirements:
- Lifting and carrying:
- The ability to lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds is necessary for this position. Maintenance Technician may be required to move heavy boxes, equipment, or inventory throughout the warehouse.
- Standing and walking:
- This role involves extended periods of standing and walking within the warehouse facility. Candidates must have the physical endurance to remain on their feet for extended periods while performing their duties.
- Manual dexterity:
- Maintenance Technician must have good manual dexterity to handle and manipulate small items, operate warehouse equipment, and perform tasks that require precise movements.
- Bending, stooping, and reaching:
- The ability to bend, stoop, and reach for items on lower and higher shelves is crucial. Maintenance Technician may need to access inventory stored at different heights within the warehouse.
- Physical agility:
- This role may involve navigating narrow aisles, climbing ladders, and maneuvering in confined spaces. Physical agility and coordination are necessary to perform these tasks safely and efficiently.

- Candidates should be aware that the physical demands of the job may vary depending on the specific warehouse environment and the nature of the products being overseen.
- Lift/Carry – 60% of Shift
- Standing – 100% of Shift
- Walk – 95% of Shift
- Reach Outward – 50% of Shift
- Squat/Kneel – 25% - 50% of Shift
- Lift Up To 40lbs – 50% of Shift
