2nd Shift Production Artist

The Position:

The Production Artist is responsible for preparing final press-ready files based on the supplied specifications for several types of printing.  This position works in collaboration with the technical office, customer service, and production.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation.
  • Package and preflight files for release to printers or media partners.
  • Create PDF files for print and client review.
  • Catalog and reference art for future projects.
  • Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are being completed on time.
  • Assist press operators with troubleshooting problems as they arise.  

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Proficient with both MAC and PC systems.
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. 
  • Active listening and team-building skills – can play nice with others.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree.
  • Specialized courses in graphic design and pre-press.
  • Prior experience with Esko.  
  • Prior experience in printing.
